Life Application Bible Commentary
I purchased this commentary to read in parallel with my bible as part of my daily quiet time. My purpose was to gain greater depth and understanding from my daily bible readings. I've been very pleased. I'm not a bible scholar. This commentary offers a very understandable discussion of every New Testament verse. I highly recommend this text for anyone that is looking to increase his or her understanding of the New Testament.

This is by far the best commentary I've viewed. It provides history, purpose and life application for each book. A must have for any novice or serious bible reader.
Good reference
I currently use the NIV Life Application Study Bible, and I love it. I found this book in a bookstore and found more of what I had come to really love about my Bible. All of the verses broken down into terms that are very easy to understand. If you love all the comments and extras in your NIV Life Application Study Bible then you'll probably like this as well.
